Summary

The Warehouse Associate - Lead reports to the LOGISTEED America, Inc. Warehouse Supervisor. This position requires excellent leadership skills along with the ability to monitor workflow, provide focus on inventory control and customer service. Additionally, - including but not limited to:

  • Must be able to communicate and interact with Company Management Team and Customers in a productive and professional manner
  • Assist supervisor in leading daily operations team resulting in successful results that are reflected in established key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by established target inventory discrepancy ratio
  • Read and comprehend SOP’s, work instructions, email and documents; measure and count accurately; write legibly
  • Follow established procedures and meet or exceed safety, quality and productivity standards

  • Meet attendance & punctuality standards – please remember that attendance at facility is required 99% of the time

  • Compile, verify, record and process forms and documents
  • Ability to use the WMS to plan, allocate and manage the daily orders in the system
  • Quality assurance inspection of returned parts
  • Can accurately receive and ship material through the WMS
  • Can perform system analysis on orders and inventory to eliminate missing shipments
  • Ability to set priorities and be able to multi-task with conflicting priorities
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
  • Must be able to take direction and adhere to procedures, company policies with the ability to articulate recommendations and ask questions when uncertain
  • Monitor inbound, outbound and inventory control operation progress and directs activities to complete daily task
  • Assist in physical inventory counts and maintains accuracy by establishing target inventory discrepancy ratio
  • Coordinate markdowns, markups, customer returns, value added service (VAS) of products as needed or requested by customer
  • Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of the operation and functions and have the ability to assist in compiling, verifying, recording and processing forms and documents
  • Ability to multitask administrative and operational duties while staying organized and efficient to effectively support managers, supervisors and team members
  • Exhibit professional and sound judgment when confronted with difficult and/or sensitive matters and know when to escalate situations to a supervisor or manager
  • Must create a cooperative and harmonious working climate to maximize employee morale and productivity
  • Train others (including forklift drivers – if applicable) in multiple areas of the operations such as scanning, orders, locations, temp, put-away, in-bound, container off-loading, receiving, sort-out load, ship-codes, read plan list and manifest (over or under).
  • Must be proficient in the use of scanners and be able to train employees in put-away process and scanner transferring from one location to another as instructed by supervisor or operations manager
  • Must promptly be at designated work site or location as required by supervisor or manager
  • Must be flexible in facilitating other duties on a daily basis as assigned by the supervisor or manager
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager

Preferred Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions

Previous Work Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year fast-paced logistics industry or manufacturing environment experience, automotive preferred
  • 1 year lead or supervisor experience
  • Warehouse/Distribution/Manufacturing/Logistics work experience with automotive experience preferred

Education and Certifications

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel - preferred
  • Equivalent work experience will be considered

Experience Requirements and Preferences

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Work & Excel
  • Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) is a plus

  • Must pass drug and criminal background check

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Eighty-five percent of work time may be spent in various warehouse or other locations where the environment is not climate controlled (hot and cold seasonally).
