Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Warehouse Associate to join our team. In this position, you will support the warehouse operations by receiving shipments, processing orders, and storing/organizing inventory. The ideal candidate is a team player with experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Responsibilities:
- Process incoming shipments in a neat and organized fashion
- Pull stock to fulfill and prepare orders for shipping
- Ensure orders are accurate and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
- Inspect incoming shipments for any damages, defects, or errors
- Routinely lift, move, and place heavy items by hand or with material handling equipment such as a hand truck or dolly
- Receive instructions from crew leader and adhere to company policies and safety rules
- Completes all necessary paperwork as required by Standard Operating Procedures
- Wear a company uniform and maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing the company and delivering service to customers
- Repair any equipment (Wheels on dollies, rebuilding dollies, etc)
- Build furniture
- Help with labor of moving items on and off trucks when they arrive
- Palletize items as needed when they arrive to warehouse
- Performs other duties as assigned by the first-line Manager
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines
Perform general maintenance, custodial, and trash removal tasks such as:
- Mow grass/trim weeds, trim hedges/bushes
- Pick up trash/sweep parking lots of debris and leaves/grass
- Empty trash bins in warehouse
- Walk warehouse and pick up any trash laying around. this includes floor, shelves, sitting on top of crates/furniture, etc.
- Clean bathrooms in warehouse
- Fold all moving blankets, return to commercial bin
- Sweep warehouse completely
- Clean/organize equipment
- Repair any equipment (Wheels on dollies, rebuilding dollies, etc)
- Build furniture
- Help with labor of moving items on and off trucks when they arrive
- Palletize items as needed when they arrive to warehouse
- High school diploma/GED is preferred
- Previous experience working in a warehouse setting is preferred
- Ability to use warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Capable of standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Valid Driver's License with at least 3 years of driving experience. Must provide DMV driving record with no more than 3 minor or 1 major moving violation in the past 3 years.
- Strong record of dependability, reliability, and punctuality.
- Positive attitude with strong teamwork skills
- Solid communication and customer service skills
- Ability to follow routine written and verbal instructions.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Gracefully handle difficult situations/customers/teammates.
- Remain respectful of property and professional space
- Basic understanding of manual and power hand tools preferred
Conditions of Employment:
- Must be at least 21 years of age (18 for seasonal employment)
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Must submit and pass a criminal background check
Working Conditions/Physical Effort:
- Flexibility.
- Stamina to lift heavy items (100+ lbs. or more) repeatedly while climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, walking, etc. with or without accommodation.
- Work involves some exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, and loud noises
