POSITION SUMMARY

The essence of the Kitter position is to assemble the parts coming off the line into kits that will be transported to the Distribution Center. The Kitter also is responsible for ensuring that parts are kitted in a manner that will give the customer an on-time and clean shipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Each job would be kitted in a way that prohibits damage.
  • The label on the job sheets will match the label on the part.
  • Recognize when someone else needs help and assist them.
  • Help look for any quality defects.
  • Get jobs done in a timely manner.
  • Take direction from multiple sources.
  • Able to operate handheld scanners for inputting.
  • Understands the QCDSM boards and contributes to continuous improvement.

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Basic understanding of blueprints

Qualifications

  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to read prints and job sheets
  • Takes ownership and prides themselves in delivering a high-quality product
  • Flexible in their work schedule and able to work for 10 hours up to 4 -6 months
  • Must maintain a dependable and reliable work schedule
  • High school diploma/GED preferred
