Open year round, the Inn is a five-minute stroll from Chatham’s charming Main Street and within a short drive of all Cape Cod has to offer. 

The National Sales Manager is responsible for but not limited to generating new group business, increasing group sales, developing, and maintaining client relationships, and achieving assigned financial goals.  Most importantly, this role must be passionate about Chatham Bars Inn and keep all efforts aligned with our brand values.

  • Assists the Director with the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies for the hotel including securing new accounts and maintaining existing accounts
  • Maximizes the profitability of the hotel and maintain customer satisfaction by suggesting and selling additional services such as hotel guest rooms, catering services, spa, recreation, and banquet facilities through direct client contact to maximize total rooms revenues and profits
  • Establishes client base in assigned vertical markets through direct outside and inside sales effort. Develops and maintains relationships with key clients to produce group and/or meeting/Incentive business
  • Negotiates guest room rates, meeting room rental, function space, and hotel services within approved booking guidelines
  • Confirms in writing to the client all requirements via sales contract
  • Conducts site inspection tours of the hotel and banquet facilities and entertains qualified potential clients
  • Attends and represents the organization at trade shows and industry networking events
  • Responds quickly to guest requests and follows up to ensure guest satisfaction

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in group/conference hotel sales (and related)
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals
  • Proven leadership and ability to drive revenue growth
  • Actively participate in industry related organizations
  • Strong background in selling rooms, F&B, Catering, Meeting Rooms, and A/V
  • Track record developing long term business relationships
  • Maintain consistent verbal and written communication with clients
  • A good working knowledge of Delphi is a plus
  • Work effectively with Rooms, Recreation, Catering, Conference Services, Spa, Recreation, and Banquet Departments
  • Excellent phone and presentation sales skills
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales goals
  • Candidates must possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented

Previous sales experience in full-service, upscale luxury Four- and Five-Star hotels/Resorts preferred
