To read item/project specifications and interpret them on drawings.
To review drawings, tender documents, Client visual packs or internal visual packs.
Liaise with the Project Manager with any technical queries.
To provide administration support to PPM when required.
Negotiate supplier costs.
Follow up open enquiries.
Maintain good relationships with suppliers.

Skills & Attributes of a Joinery Estimator:
Proactive, and can use their own initiative.
Logical thinker, quick with numbers, good with math.
Quick learner, who is attentive to learn and is receptive to new processes.
Well organised and can multitask whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Basic telephone etiquette and clear communication skills.
PC literate, with excellent working knowledge of Excel/Microsoft Office.
Able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Team player, but equally able to work independently.

Requirements 'Joinery Estimator':

A good understanding of how joinery/furniture items are made and assembled
Understands 2D AutoCAD and 3D drawings.
Knowledge of the tendering process, with ideally 5yrs experience in a similar role
Knowledge of joinery materials, i.e., veneers, laminates, solid surfaces
Good level of written and spoken English
