Located in Kyle, just off I-35 and Philomena, Republic Veterinary Hospital is a small animal hospital caring for cats, dogs & their owners. We are not cookie cutter, spend time educating clients & tailor care specifically to each pet and we take pride in the cleanliness of our hospital

About the Position

As a Veterinary Technician, you will have the opportunity to:

· assist veterinarian during examinations & procedures, providing restraint as needed.

· collect urine, fecal & blood samples

· perform laboratory tests on samples collected

· place IV catheters

· clean & sterilize instruments & equipment

· perform dental cleanings

· prepare prescriptions

· conduct follow up correspondence

· take radiographs

· hospitalized patients: walk, feed, water, medicate, monitor, love them

· assist during emergencies

· express anal glands, trim nails, clean ears, shave mats, provide sanitary clips

· insert microchips
