The Summer Credit Analyst will support the credit team in analyzing financial data, assessing credit applications, and monitoring credit portfolios.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to assess the creditworthiness of individuals or businesses.
  • Support the evaluation of credit applications by conducting credit risk assessments and reviewing financial documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members to gather and analyze data related to credit exposure, repayment history, and financial performance.
  • Prepare detailed credit reports and recommendations, including risk assessments, credit limits, and approval decisions.
  • Monitor and track credit portfolios, including identifying potential credit issues and recommending corrective actions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of credit policies and procedures to ensure effective risk management.
  • Participate in credit meetings and contribute to discussions on credit strategies, risk management, and portfolio performance.
  • Support ad-hoc credit tasks and projects as needed, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (must be a current student).
  • Basic understanding of credit analysis principles, financial statements, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools; familiarity with credit management software is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members and present findings.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness in credit analysis and reporting.
  • Eagerness to learn and apply credit analysis practices and methodologies in a real-world setting.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively in a dynamic environment.
