Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOverviewJoin our team as a Machine Builder and play a hands-on role in constructing and fine-tuning custom automated machinery for the pharmaceutical industry. You'll be responsible for assembling and troubleshooting high-speed, precision equipment used in the production of life-saving medications. Your expertise will contribute to ensuring our machines meet stringent quality standards and operate reliably in a regulated environment.
Job Type: 3-18 month contract (contractors of Sterling Engineering will qualify for benefits)Pay: Up to $40/hr (depending on experience)
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and debug automation equipment, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Fabricate, assemble, modify, and troubleshoot automation stations and components.
  • Perform electrical field wiring of sensors, valves, and motors.
  • Supervise disassembly, packaging, unpacking, and commissioning of automation equipment.
  • Provide technical support for launching new equipment, including training.

Requirements:
  • Associates degree or Technical Trade School certification preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience working with automation equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with high-speed synchronous, asynchronous, and flexible assembly systems.
  • Must be able to provide your own tools.
  • Must be able to follow strict safety and quality standards while working in the plant.
  • Ability to read and interpret tool detail, assembly, electrical, and pneumatic drawings.
