Human Resources Generalist


FLSA: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Director of Human Resources

Physical Requirements: Normal Office Environment

Hours of Work: Full Time, 37.5 hour per week

Pay Range: The pay range is $22.30 to $31.92


Job Qualifications:

  • High School diploma and 5 years of experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with concentration in HR or related field plus 1 year of related experience preferred
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Sensitivity to Agency needs, employee goodwill, and public image.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
  • Ability to provide honest, constructive and meaningful feedback and demonstrate the ability to remain objective.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
  • Valid NYS drivers license.
  • Must be able to travel for agency business.



Major Responsibilities:


  • Employee Relations to include investigations, discipline, exit interview, staff advisory, etc.
  • Coach and facilitate management team on HR issues.
  • Assist employees with benefits administration.
  • Provide support to employee training and recruitment.
  • Supervision of agency reception area.
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor.
