Tip of the Spear Psychotherapy Group is seeking a Medical Secretary to join our team As a Medical Secretary, you will be responsible for communicating with patients, checking them in, and pulling relevant patient files or obtaining new patient information. You will also answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate place, mail or fax documentation to the appropriate offices, and maintain excellent medical and correspondence records, as appropriate. The ideal candidate is very organized, has strong customer service and interpersonal skills, and works well independently and within a team.
Responsibilities
- Empathetic, supportive, and well spoken.
- Ascertain their needs and get them checked in
- Pull their medical records, or take a new patient history
- Answer the phone and schedule appointments or answer patient questions
- Maintain comprehensive medical records, as needed
- Maintain Clinicians schedules
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Familiarity with basic computer programs, such as google products
