Please note, this is a remote position only.

Schedule:
Flexible Could be day time or evening. They could primarily do body flex shifts which means they need to complete the RVU s within 24 hours but aren t tied to specific hours or they could do the body evening shift which would be 3 to 10. The client will accept part time OR full time providers

This work would be time flexible and could be done in as little as one hour increments. Prefer body fellowship trained and ability to read body MRI in addition to CT. This would not include plain film reading. RVU requirements are ~9 per hour.

These positions require a minimum of 4 shifts or 32 hours per month and will last indefinitely. You will be expected to read studies from oldest to newest and reach the specified RVU targets. The hours could be standard day time, evening or one hour flexible work. We utilize Intelerad PACS, PowerScribe 360 and Clario.

Technology:

You will be provided a home work station with a minimum commitment of 4 shifts per month or 32 hours. From a compliance perspective, we are adhering to ACR s best practice guidelines of maintaining a quality control program on all diagnostic monitors so you would need to use our equipment even if you already have your own. Your reading location will be specified in the contract. It is not possible to move the work station from one location to another. You will be responsible for paying to send the work station back to us when you are done working for us.

Credentialing:

We do want to ensure that you have a realistic idea of what steps you will need to complete and the approximate timing for these steps before you commit. Getting a locums physician to the stage of reading requires significant employee resources/expense and we want to ensure that it s a good investment of time on both sides.

Here s a brief summary of those steps:

  • Applying for a Michigan license if you do not have one- 15 minutes (more time if you don t have the required CME) *Michigan or COMPACT license required at this time
  • You will need to be very responsive to your agency credentialing specialist once they start the process
  • Approximate investment of time for reviewing/completing and signing of facility and payor enrollment forms. This varies depending on how extensive your work, malpractice, and facility history is- 3 to 4 hours (could be much faster if you have all your documentation handy)

Onboarding/Training Time (per site)

  • Corewell- EPIC Training, Attesting to Documents, for all new providers- 1 to 2 hours
  • Any Additional Sites- same as above- 1 2 hours each
  • There will be significant email communication during this process. It can be overwhelming. We can help you determine those you will have to respond to.

Onboarding/PACS training with ARS

  • Training Videos 1-2 hours
  • Session with Chris Zinn- 2 hours
  • Other apps training, depending on specialty- time varies

Equipment Set Up/Return

  • You will need a work space at home for this work station which can include 3 to 4 monitors depending on our inventory
  • You will be responsible for setting up your own equipment with STARS IT support available by phone as needed- 30 minutes to 1 hour (depending on how tech savvy you are)
  • Per the contract, you will be responsible for paying to ship the equipment back to us (and insuring it) when you are done working for us. This pricing may range from xx150 and up depending on where you live.
  • It will be easiest and less costly if you KEEP ALL THE BOXES and Styrofoam to return the equipment
  • Once the workstation is set up you must leave plugged in, connected to the network and turned on so we can push updates on a regular basis

Total Approximate Time Commitment: 6 to 12 hours

Prefer completion of a cross sectional body imaging fellowship or an ultrasound fellowship, but open to residency plus work experience.
MI License or compact license at time of submission - Required

Clean Malpractice/background - Required
Local, no flights - HIGHLY PREFERRED
