Summary/Objective

To provide high-quality customer service in the management of escrow funds used to pay taxes and insurance associated with home loans. Lead employee responsible for processing annual escrow statements and management of associated payables to insurance vendors and state taxing jurisdictions.

Experience/Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Accounts payable and general ledger accounting experience

Preferred Education and Experience

• Associates / College degree preferred but not required

Tasks and Activities of the Mortgage Servicer – Escrow Specialist

1. Perform borrower account escrow analysis
   • Source and process homeowner insurance invoices
   • Source and process borrower property tax bills
   • Perform escrow analysis and send annual borrower escrow statements and other notices
   • Process borrower escrow refunds
   • Scheduled borrower payment changes as a result of the escrow analysis process
2. Work with the Assistant Manager and Manager of the Servicing Department on special projects as assigned
3. Assist in answering incoming call and direct professionally and efficiently
4. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products with emphasis on Excel
5. All work performed is completely followed through to its proper completion demonstrating attention to detail.
6. Personal appearance is always clean and neat and in accordance with company policy regarding dress code.
7. Adhere to company privacy policies, proper storage of files, and protection of customer information
8. Responsible to keep your supervisor informed of all delays with your work
9. Report unsafe, unethical, or potential legal issues or incidents borrowers to your supervisor
10. Occasionally assist in other office errands such as collecting mail, processing payments, making bank deposits, sourcing supplies, or other tasks as assigned by your supervisor

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position; typical work hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm.
