What You Will Be Doing

As a Field IT Engineer for ONX group of companies, you are responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of computers, network, and telecommunications systems in ONX factories and data centers. Participating in the full project life cycle, you will plan, upgrade, modify, configure, and document communications systems and associated infrastructure. Systems include LAN/WAN technology, land, and RF communications platforms (to include satellite, VHF/UHF, and microwave systems), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and fiber optics. In a supporting role, you will also perform installation, operation, and maintenance of AC power distribution grids, emergency power generators, transformers, automatic voltage regulators (AVR), and heating ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC). The capacity and commitment to serve globally is essential. Field IT Engineers typically work in a temporary travel status up to 50% of the time. Some assignments may be in difficult, harsh, and challenging automated factory environments where large robots perform work. There is a requirement for the candidate holding this position to recognize this and adopt a flexible approach to work.  



Essential Job Functions

Required Qualifications

 Should have strong knowledge in TCP/IP and OSI models.• Strong understanding of fundamental network and telecommunication principles.• Hands on experience with CAT6, CAT6A crimping, cable management, patch panel installation, PDU and rack mount Devices.• Should have strong experience working in a switching environment.• Strong experience with routing principles.• Should have experience in handling Routing Protocols.• Should be able to identify network issues related to DNS, DHCP and Radius Server.• Hands on experience of Meraki configuration and troubleshooting.• good understanding of networking infrastructure and firewalls.• excellent understanding of wireless components and working.• Basic understanding of software installation and end user support on windows and Mac.2Job Description: Field IT Engineer• Good understanding of VOIP/POE Devices ex, IP Phones and CCTV Cameras.• Good understanding of supporting conference room/meeting room equipment’s.• A strong team player.• Willing to learn on the job from peers and confident to ask for help when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate/Technical degree preferably in a STEM discipline to include:
o Electronics and Communications Engineering Technology
o Computer Network Systems
o Computer Science or related field
o Information Technology
o Electrical Engineering
• Or, equivalent relevant civilian or military experience (minimum of five (5) years documented
experience) in the following areas:
o Installation and maintenance of network infrastructure in an IT enterprise
o Electrical/Electrician Trades
o Data network installer
o Applied Science for Electrical Technology
• At least a 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds when supporting installations or specific requirements ex UPS.
• Ability to climb ladders, stoop, bend, and reach for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work independently and closely with other professionals.
• Dynamic and flexible professional approach
