What would you do as An Unarmed Security Guard

As a new Unarmed Security Guard at Sanford Federal in Troy, NY, you can expect to conduct regular patrols, monitor surveillance equipment, and enforce site rules to ensure safety and security. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include maintaining accurate logs, responding to alarms and emergencies, and providing exceptional customer service to all individuals on the premises. This schedule will require you to work within the hours of 2200 to 0600, ensuring the site is protected during overnight hours. You will also be responsible for documenting any incidents and collaborating with team members to uphold our commitment to excellence and professionalism in all aspects of your role. Observe and report Security and Emergency situations. Conduct twice a month site visits, implement corrective actions, and serve as POC for operational issues.

Requirements for this Unarmed Security Guard

To excel in the role of Unarmed Security Guard at TEFS in Troy, NY, you will need to possess a variety of essential skills. Experience in security operations is crucial, as you will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing site security protocols. Physical fitness is a must, as the position requires standing watch and conducting regular patrols on foot.

Fluency in English is essential for clear communication with team members and individuals on the premises. Additionally, you must hold a valid security guard license in the State of New York and adhere to all relevant state and local laws. Completion of OPSEC AT Level I Training is also required to ensure you are equipped to handle security challenges effectively.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Must have experience working in Security.
  • Must be physically capable of standing watch and making security rounds by walking.
  • Must be Fluent in English.
  • Must be licensed in the State of New York and shall comply with all State and local laws applicable
  • to security guards.
  • Must Have OPSEC AT Level I Training.
