Job Summary:

Receives and transports donated items; provides support for people to perform activities, and develop and maintain life skills while in the donations area.

Essential Functions:

  1. Greets donors.
  2. Assists in unloading donations from donors' vehicles.
  3. Determines if donations are acceptable.
  4. Presorts and cleans some donations as directed by supervision.
  5. Keeps area neat and clean.
  6. Tracks number of donors daily.
  7. Thanks donor for his/her donation and provides signed and dated receipt when requested.
  8. May be required to assist in loading and unloading the Goodwill truck.
  9. Operates tagger.
  10. Operates hand jack to move product to processing areas.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. CARF: Ensure documentation and compliance with CARF standards.
  2. Safety: Maintain applicable safety standards, rules, and regulations in areas of responsibility
  3. Outcome Driven: Have S.M.A.R.T objectives to drive performance and improve Goodwill's value to the community.
  4. Stakeholder Focused: Work with integrity and provide exemplary customer services to internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Accountability: Have key metrics that drive performance taking a leadership role in maximizing the social and financial return of the community resources invested in Goodwill.
  6. Financial Stability: Utilize the resources of the organization in an efficient and effective manner.
  7. Strategic Visioning: Commitment to innovation, continuous learning, and leading change in creating community value.
  8. Professionalism: Demonstrate a genuine interest in serving the needs of others and a positive attitude toward the community, co-workers, and individuals we serve. Represent the organization to the public with a courteous, helpful and business-like attitude.
  9. Carries out additional duties assigned by store management.
  10. Maintains safety standards within areas of responsibility.
  11. Promotes and demonstrates cooperation and teamwork.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must be able to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends, which can change seasonally. Be able to be licensed to operate a forklift and able to operate manual lifts.
