The Maintenance Technician IV is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, planned schedule, and operations priority to support the achievement of the company’s business goals and objectives. This position is intended to spread knowledge amongst the technicians to help improve the overall effectiveness of the team.

Requirements:

· Self-starter dedicated to continual improvement of themselves and the team.

· Ability to work with no supervision.

· Adhere to safety practices/ QA guidelines.

· Strong troubleshooting skills

· Verstile with different VFDs and programing

· Electrical practices, codes and safety

o NEC

o Conduit Runs

o Circuitry

o Schematics


· Responsible for efficient management of work- time to ensure projects and work orders are completed from planned schedule and break downs in effective time frame to decrease down time.

· Work in close cooperation with all Production personnel on shift to ensure that equipment concerns are dealt with in a timely and satisfactory manner

· Responsible for installing and repairing electrical systems, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic and electronic components for industrial machinery and equipment.

· Responsible for attaining a proactive, Predictive Maintenance approach to the daily function and operation of our facility.

· Ability to Program and troubleshoot programing of VFDs, Controllers, and PLC.

· Ability to Program VFDs and Controllers, PLCs are a plus.

· Responsible for completion of assigned work orders.

· Responsible for ensuring that all equipment is operating safely and must support all the mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic needs of the operation.

· Responsible for complying with all safety regulations, food safety procedures including all BRC and GMP requirements and specifications, and use of the appropriate PPE.

· May be required to work any shift as well as weekends.

· Responsible for ensuring that the facilities are secure when working on the final shift of the week before a weekend or holiday shut down.

· Skilled with different types of welding, cutting (torch or plasma) and basic metal fabrication skills.

· May perform some grounds and building maintenance as needed.

· Other duties as assigned.


· Post-Secondary technical training and education preferred.

· Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician Preferred.

· Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial maintenance preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
