Job Title: SAS Admin

Location: Cincinnati, OH (Hybrid)

Rate: Competitive, based on experience

Employment Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities:

SAS Environment Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain SAS software and solutions.
- Manage and monitor SAS servers and applications.
- Ensure optimal performance of SAS environments, including tuning and optimization.
- Implement and manage SAS security, including user access and permissions.
Support and Maintenance:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SAS applications.
- Perform regular system backups and recovery processes.
- Apply patches and updates to SAS software as needed.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
User Support and Training:
- Assist users with SAS-related issues and provide training as necessary.
- Collaborate with business users to understand their requirements and provide SAS solutions.
Data Management:
- Manage data integration processes using SAS tools.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the SAS environment.
- Support data warehousing and business intelligence initiatives.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of SAS environment configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Generate reports on system performance, usage, and other metrics.

Qualifications:

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAS administration.
- Proven experience with SAS 9.4 and SAS Viya environments.
- Strong knowledge of SAS products including SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Studio, SAS Data Integration Studio, and SAS Management Console.
Skills:
- Proficiency in UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with SAS Grid Manager and SAS Visual Analytics.
- Strong understanding of database technologies and SQL.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Certifications:
- SAS Certified Platform Administrator or equivalent certification is a plus.
