Job DescriptionJob Description

We have an immediate opening for a part-time entry level IT Helpdesk Technician. This role welcomes internship applicants and can provide forms required for claiming internship credits if needed. Applicants must have completed, or are nearing completion, a technical degree in IT Desktop Support, IT User Support, or IT System Administration. This position offers an excellent opportunity for upward mobility within a growing firm and aims to move toward a full-time role within a year.

Description

  • Provide remote and in-office technical assistance for issues related to computer software and hardware including installation, modification, and repair.
  • Support computer systems utilizing Azure Active Directory and Microsoft core products.
  • Support mobile devices utilizing Android and/or iOS.
  • Support communications with software vendors for various applications.
  • Analyze and identify trends in issue reporting.
  • Create and close helpdesk tickets.
  • Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and chat.
  • Develop and maintain training manuals and SOPs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a two-year technical degree within or must be within 12 months of expected completion date.
  • CompTIA A+ certification, relevant completed coursework, or plans to complete within six months.
  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts.
  • Strong analytical, technical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • General knowledge of customer service and ability to work with staff members personally or remotely.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to handle challenging employees and/or situations.
  • Ability to lift at least 25lbs.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to provide your own transport to Madison, Waukesha, Appleton, Wausau, or Tomah as needed.
