Job DescriptionJob Description

As a Tire Technician, you will be required to inspect and assess damaged or worn tires on customer vehicles, replace or repair damaged tires, and balance or rotate tires.

To ensure success as a Tire Technician, you should have good communication skills and be able to perform physically demanding tasks. Ultimately, an outstanding Tire Technician can work quickly and efficiently, while maintaining high industry standards. Company luncheon every month. Paid vacation after 1 year of employment.

Compensation:

$14 - $15 hourly

Responsibilities:

  • Display a commitment to learning new technologies within the rapidly changing automotive industry
  • Demonstrate excellent guest service, which includes providing clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles Provide guidance and mentoring to junior and mid-level automotive technicians
  • Document all work performed on the repair order
  • Report any safety issues immediately to management
  • Promote teamwork to deliver on-time and accurate guest care during all operating hours 
  • Maintain strict adherence to Company policy on vehicle care and operation
  • Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, including consumer tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting
  • As a part of the Nikel team, you have an opportunity to go to college for free
Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid Drivers License
  • Proven work experience as a Tire Technician
  • Attention to detail
  • Extensive knowledge of tire patterns and material composition
  • Ability to lift heavy objects
  • Ability to work in a crouched or standing position for extended periods
