Summit Activities

We have in-licensed Ivonescimab, which is a novel, potential first-in-class investigational bispecific antibody combining the effects of immunotherapy via a blockade of PD-1 with the anti-angiogenesis effects associated with blocking VEGF into a single molecule. We plan to initiate phase-III clinical studies in the following NSCLC indications:

  • Ivonescimab combined with chemotherapy in patients with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-mutated, locally advanced or metastatic non-squamous NSCLC who have progressed after treatment with a third-generation EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) (“HARMONi”)
  • Ivonescimab combined with chemotherapy in first-line metastatic squamous NSCLC patients (“HARMONi-3”)

Ivonescimab is an investigational therapy that is not approved by any regulatory authority. It is currently being investigated in Phase III clinical studies.

Overview of Role:

For this summer intern position your core focus will be to optimize Summit’s use of Microsoft’s CoPilot technology especially in relation to cyber security.

You will also be expected to facilitate other IT related tasks which could vary from process optimization, automation and helping other Summit personnel with IT related tasks.

You’ll report to our senior security lead and take guidance from both a technical and operational perspective.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Integrate effectively with the current initiative to implement and optimize CoPilot for security
  • Review the architecture model and confirm that the use case would not lead to Summit data being exposed to the LLM.
  • Develop governance documentation associated with CoPilot for security and also the use of CoPilot in the business.
  • Develop governance and associated documentation related to the use of other AI technologies at Summit.
  • Determine KPI’s that we can leverage to justify the CapEx spend on CoPilot and other technologies.
  • Work with the departments to evaluate pilot programs and determine ROI relative to CoPilot and other technologies.
  • Extend the use of CoPilot to create an intranet based ChatBot – market the functionality of the ChatBot within the organization.

Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Studying towards a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, MIS or technology related discipline or equivalent experience required.
  • Ability to quickly analyze and address technical issues or escalate to relevant staff as required.
  • The ability to clearly translate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff, as well as communicate business needs to technical staff is critical.
  • Strong computer and database skills.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Clear and concise oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills .
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently.
  • Must be able to focus and execute efficiently on multiple projects.

Summit expects to pay $20 to $25 per hour for this intern position. This position will not be eligible for benefits.
