We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Chiropractic Assistant to join our team. The Chiropractic Assistant will be responsible for assisting the chiropractor with patient care, managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and performing administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for helping others.


Job Duties

  • Assist the chiropractor with patient care, including preparing patients for treatment and performing therapies as directed
  • Manage patient records, including updating patient information and maintaining accurate and organized files
  • Schedule appointments and manage the chiropractor's calendar
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phones, responding to emails, and managing office supplies
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, including answering questions and addressing concerns
  • Assist with marketing efforts, such as creating social media posts and organizing community events
  • Promotes and maintains health by providing therapy services under the supervision of a Chiropractor.
  • Contributes to a Chiropractor’s effectiveness by identifying patient care issues.
  • Administers treatment programs for patients.
  • Assesses patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and obtaining updating, and studying therapy histories.
  • Evaluates abnormal conditions by reviewing Chiropractor’s interpretations of patient evaluations and test results.
  • Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  • Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises and instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily living activities.
  • Helps patients in using supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
  • Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens, giving normal growth and development information, and promoting wellness and health maintenance.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Maintains production objectives by noting current treatment trends and monitoring actual physical therapy services rendered to production objectives.


Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant certificate and/or CA PTA license (preferred).
  • High School diploma or equivalent (required).
  • 1+ year of medical or chiropractic assistant experience (required).
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service role preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is high to moderate.
