Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled individual for the position of Dry Surface Grind Operator. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in the set-up and operation of surface grinding machines and will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest quality standards in our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Machine Set-Up and Operation:

    • Proficiently set up and operate dry surface grinding machines to achieve precise specifications.
    • Ensure the efficient and safe operation of equipment in a climate-controlled environment.

  2. Blueprint Reading and Interpretation:

    • Read and interpret engineering blueprints with a keen understanding of dimensioning and tolerance.
    • Work with a high level of accuracy to meet design specifications.

  3. Knowledge and Application of American Decimal System:

    • Demonstrate proficiency in the American Decimal System to perform precise measurements and calculations.

  4. Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T):

    • Understand and apply GD&T symbols to ensure the adherence to design requirements.

  5. Precision Inspection:

    • Utilize tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, and calipers for meticulous inspection of machined components.
    • Identify and address any deviations from quality standards, making necessary adjustments as required.

Qualifications:

  1. Technical Skills:

    • Proven experience in the set-up and operation of dry surface grinding machines.
    • Proficient in blueprint reading, dimensioning, and tolerance.

  2. Measurement Tools:

    • Ability to use micrometers, dial indicators, and calipers with precision.

  3. Understanding of American Decimal System:

    • Familiarity with the American Decimal System for accurate calculations.

  4. GD&T Knowledge:

    • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance symbols.

  5. Attention to Detail:

    • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
