Job Description:

Position Overview: The Maintenance Mechanic (Hydraulics) will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing hydraulic systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of hydraulic systems and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on hydraulic systems and machinery.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic issues, identifying the root cause and implementing effective solutions.
  • Maintain and repair hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, motors, and other related components.
  • Ensure all hydraulic systems are operating at peak efficiency and within safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and production teams to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training in hydraulics or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in hydraulic maintenance and repair, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and motors.
  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical manuals.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools related to hydraulic maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in hydraulic systems or related fields.
  • Experience with CNC machinery and forging equipment.
  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and software.
