Shipping/Warehouse Summary:

Under the direct supervision of department supervisor in a manufacturing environment an individual in the warehouse department receives, stores, and distributes material and products within the warehouse and production areas, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. Shipping individuals prepare and package final products to ship to the customer. Previous experience is preferred, but not required, we will train the right candidate.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work well with coworkers.
  • Ability to multi-task and be flexible in a changing environment
  • Must be able to read a tape measure and any other necessary measuring devices.
  • Must be able to successfully complete the Physical Capacity Profile (PCP) to required standard
  • Must be able to successfully complete a Pre-employment drug screen.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attention to detail.
  • Comprehend and follow checklists, work orders and material request orders.
  • Understand/follow the flow of the department including Kanbon, receiving and line cart processes.
  • Unload trucks, check in material and store or distribute material appropriately. (if approved)
  • Move material and items from warehouse to production line/areas as required.
  • Conduct all work in a safe manner, including work on and around a forklift, pallet mover, step stool and staircase
  • Maintain housekeeping and 6s of area
  • Follow all Aluma Safety and Company policies and procedures including the use of all required PPE.
  • Maintain all Aluma quality standards including recognize parts issues and defects so they can be corrected.
  • Assist in training new employees
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs. force frequently and lift to 10-20 lbs. consistently.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for 10 hours.
  • Must be able to use hands to handle or feel; ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and ability to use a step stool and staircase.
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, depth and peripheral vision.

Hours are 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. - Monday through Thursday.
