Morris Group Inc is seeking an ambitious, diligent, and upbeat individual to join our growing organization as a Sales Development Representative We are one of the top tier distributors of CNC machine tools in North America and have been in business for over 82 years. The Sales Development Representative role is ideal for a motivated person looking to make an impact as an individual. Lack of industry knowledge is not a problem What matters is your eagerness and desire to be successful, as we will guide you with the vital skills.

This position is Onsite - Not Remote or Hybrid

What You Will Contribute:

  • The Sales Development Representative is the link between the Outside Sales team and the prospect. The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for developing and generating a quality sales pipeline for the outside sales team.
  • Research and pre-qualify potential new prospects.
  • Follow up on Warm Leads generated by the marketing team.
  • Identify key decision makers and update database list of contacts.
  • Reaching out via phone and email, quickly and confidently establishing rapport
  • Listening and uncovering potential opportunities for The Morris Company.
  • Provide accurate quotes to prospects and follow up on requests.
  • Deliver on Key Performance Indicators (critical metrics-KPI's) to get results.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • BS/BA College Degree
  • 1-2 years previous work experience in a customer facing role (prior experience in an outbound call environment is not required, although preferred)
  • Strong desire to learn and advance in a sales career
  • Highly developed drive to achieve and exceed goals.
  • Passion for personal and professional growth; accepting of mentoring and other opportunities to develop.
