We are a leading supplier to the foodservice industry, committed to excellence in every aspect of our business. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior EHS Manager to join our team at our manufacturing site in Conyers, GA.


Position Overview: The Senior EHS Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the environmental, health, and safety programs at our 24/7 manufacturing plant. This role requires a proactive leader with a strong presence on the floor, capable of engaging and motivating employees to foster a safety-first culture. The Senior EHS Manager will report directly to the site's VP of Operations and will be an integral part of the site leadership team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:
  • Supervise and mentor 2 direct reports: Safety Supervisor and Site Security Supervisor.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership on all EHS matters.
  • Program Development and Implementation:
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety and training programs tailored to a manufacturing environment.
  • Build and nurture a strong safety culture focused on preventing incidents and reducing TRIR (Total Recordable Incident Rate).
  • Hands-On Engagement:
  • Maintain a strong floor presence, actively engaging with employees to promote safety practices.
  • Be hands-on in identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure EHS compliance and drive operational excellence.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, from plant floor employees to senior management.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability:
  • Manage the EHS needs of a 24/7 plant, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to emerging issues.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of EHS management experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing safety and training programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive down TRIR and improve overall safety performance.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage and motivate employees.
  • Hands-on approach with a strong presence on the manufacturing floor.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelors degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Safety, or a related field preferred.

  • Competitive salary ranging from $125,000 to $150,000.
