Job Opportunity:

Berxi has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to facilitate all aspects of major data integration and new data platform projects. The Project Manager is responsible for planning, facilitating, and supporting the execution of our data driven initiatives. As a Project Manager, you will drive the execution of these projects with a focus on delivery, status tracking, issue identification and risk management. The position is based in our Boston office.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage data projects with a high degree of complexity.
  • Lead teams and defining project objectives.
  • Effectively manage project scope by ensuring changes are clearly defined, discussed, agreed to, and documented.
  • Develop and maintain key project documents: project charter, scope, detailed work plans, timeline, issue log, status reports, Gantt charts, meeting agendas and meeting minutes.
  • Actively engage with data architect, data engineers, sponsors, and stakeholders to solicit their ideas, confirm expectations, communicate commitments, and proactively drive the project forward.
  • Act as a mediator and facilitate dialogue when the project hits roadblocks.
  • Write user narratives and manage the project backlog.
  • Prepare for, facilitate, document, and actively follow up on action items from project meetings.
  • Track and report on project milestones, solicit status from team members and provide a consolidated view of project status, schedule, risks, and issues.
  • Partner with project sponsor and be accountable for project results.
  • Drive post-implementation assessment and lessons learned.
  • Organize project deliverables and assets such that they can be re-used in the future.


Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience leading and managing complex projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Analytics, Information Technology or related field is preferred.
  • Excellent project management skills to prioritize and manage resource for multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of various system development lifecycle methodologies and experienced in leading Agile software delivery models.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task while balancing diverse priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Adept at rapidly responding to changes in priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience with relational databases and data analytics skills such as SQL, Python, PowerBI, Excel.
  • Knowledge of Azure cloud services such as ADF and SSMS a plus.
  • Insurance Industry or Financial Services experiences is preferred.
  • Continuous learning mindset to keep up with the evolving data landscape and emerging technologies.
