THE ROLE:

• Thoroughly review specifications, drawings, details, and other documents.
• Submit all necessary RFI's and clarifications to customers.
• Calculate the quantities of materials, labor, and equipment required for the project.
• Provide creative and value engineered solutions to best meet the needs of customers.
• Compile estimates into formal proposals or bids for potential clients.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, contracts, and other project-related documentation.
• Work closely with production team members to ensure estimates align with project goals and timelines.
• Adjust estimates and provide change orders as needed based on project changes or unforeseen issues.
• Solicit bids from subcontractors for specific tasks or portions of the project.
• Evaluate subcontractor bids and incorporate them into the overall project estimate.
• Provide accurate and detailed submittals and hand off documentation to production teams.
• Physically able to handle all aspects of the job including lifting a ladder and transporting tools up and down from the roof.

EXPERIENCE:

• Roofing experience is ideal, but any construction or trade experience is valuable.
• Knowledge of different roofing systems, repair options, and roof materials is essential.
• Estimating experience, preferably in roofing, but experience in other construction trades is also acceptable.
• Experience with The Estimating Edge (preferred)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

EDUCATION:

• A college degree is preferred but not necessary.
• A degree in construction management or a related field is highly beneficial.
