Position Summary: We are seeking a beginner to mid-level Claris FileMaker Developer to join our team. This role involves supporting our employees’ use of our custom-developed FileMaker Solutions while collaborating with Senior FileMaker Developers to co-develop future software solutions. We are looking for an individual passionate about using Claris FileMaker to create unique business applications, who is excited about integrating the latest technology to enhance our competitive advantage. The ideal candidate is confident in troubleshooting and debugging existing systems, with a keen eye for detail and design, always striving to improve functionality.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Claris FileMaker developer you will be expected to:

• Support existing FileMaker solutions and develop custom software solutions using the Claris FileMaker platform.
• Design, develop, and implement new features and functionalities.
• Maintain and improve existing software systems.
• Identify and resolve technical issues related to hardware and software.
• Provide IT support and technical assistance to end-users.
• Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware systems.
• Test and evaluate new hardware and software products and make recommendations.
• Collaborate closely with Project Coordinators and other FileMaker Developers to design, implement, and maintain high-quality systems.
• Work effectively in a project management environment, handling multiple project requests and deadlines.

QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 1-5 years of experience developing custom software solutions using the Claris FileMaker platform.
• Basic understanding of relational database design.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in IT support and troubleshooting hardware and software issues is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of macOS, Windows, and mobile device operating systems.
• Familiarity with networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• UX/UI skills to deliver usable responsive solutions.
• Familiarity with REST, JSON, OAuth, XML, PHP, OData, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Ability to provide samples of development work.

BASE SALARY RANGE

$55,000 to $75,000
