Janitorial Shift Manager Job Description
Shift Managers work closely with employees. They work as part of the Avatara team and supervise with respect, loyalty and a positive tone of voice. It is often the small characteristics that define a good and enjoyable employee supervisor. Rather than telling people how to work, a good supervisor serves as an inspiration and provides guidance for hardworking employees.
Shift Manager Responsibilities Include:
· Have a complete understanding of the Scope of Work relating to the areas that they are managing .
· Maintain and ensure all employees time records are properly documented and maintained via Paylocity.
· Organizing workflow and ensuring that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
· Ensure that all employees for are properly trained to accomplish their task in accordance with the Scope of Work.
· During the assigned shift ensure that all employees are in their assigned areas and the work is being performed efficiently and to contract standards.
· Perform Quality Control Inspections.
· Understand and utilize Microsoft Teams for communication and reporting.
· During their shift ensure that any discrepancies or complaints relating to the Scope of Work are corrected and reported.
· Immediately report any incidents to the Project Manager.
· Prepare and submit the Daily Status Report via Teams and ensure the on coming shift manager is aware of any issues that need to be followed up during the upcoming shift.
Shift Manager Requirements
· Proven experience as shift manager or relevant role
· Familiarity with company policies and legal guidelines
of the field
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
· Good knowledge of MS Office, Asana, Microsoft Teams
· Diploma/Certificate in first line management or relevant field
· High school diploma: BSc/BA in management or relevant discipline will be considered an advantage
