Responsibilities of the Surgical Coordinator:
  • Provide exceptional patient care and service by greeting and checking in patients and processing payments.
  • Schedule surgeries, including verifying authorizations, setting appointments for pre-surgery testing, scheduling post-op appointments, and checking health issues and medications for possible pre-authorization needs.
  • Coordinate, complete, and verify all required surgery paperwork according to established procedures.
  • Thoroughly communicate with patients regarding pre-operative requirements.
  • Facilitate patient surgery day activities, including completing any outstanding paperwork with the patient, preparing charts for the surgery staff, and updating charts post-surgery.

Requirements of the Surgical Coordinator:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working in a healthcare setting.
  • Previous experience scheduling surgeries
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effectively working in a team environment.


Salary:$22.00 to $24.00 /hour
