Since 2013, we have been providing luxury pet boarding with comfortable rooms, grooming areas, and a dog park. Our facility mirrors a hotel environment by utilizing physical features like Italian tile, large ceiling fans, sound-absorbing materials, ceiling speakers for calming noises during thunderstorms, and doggie doors that lead to individual patios. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A GENERAL MAINTENANCE WORKER - SPECIALIST:

In this role, your days will be filled with exciting tasks that contribute to the well-being of our pet guests. You'll start by conducting monthly fence and gate inspections, meticulously assessing their condition and promptly reporting to the management team and pet resort owner. As a Specialist, you'll utilize your expertise to repair any fencing and gates that require attention, ensuring a safe and secure environment for our furry friends. Additionally, you'll perform preventive maintenance on fences and gates to prolong their durability. Simple plumbing and electrical repairs, as well as HVAC maintenance, will be part of your repertoire. You'll also lend a hand in general building maintenance, including painting and sheetrock patchwork. By maintaining our facility in an attractive and presentable manner, you'll create a welcoming environment for both pets and their owners. Note: this position is in a dog environment.


TO EXCEL IN THIS POSITION, YOU'LL NEED THE FOLLOWING:

  • Comfort and proficiency in working with fencing and gates.
  • Experience in building maintenance for an apartment complex or hotel is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, fencing, painting, drywall, and carpentry
  • Handyman experience
  • HVAC knowledge is a plus, but not required

WORK SCHEDULE AND LOCATION

As a part-time General Maintenance Worker - Specialist, our preferred schedule is Monday - Thursday (during peak season) and occasional weekend/after hours if requested by management for emergency situations only. We understand the importance of work-life balance and are open to a flexible schedule for the right candidate. Our pet resort is located in Fayetteville, NC, providing a convenient and vibrant setting for your work.
