Position Summary
This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Technical/Documentation writing within a dynamic IT environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to translate them into easy-to-understand instructions.
           

Key Responsibilities
As a Technical Writer Intern you will work with internal customers, network engineering team and the MCNC Network Operations Center (NOC) to create high level documentation for our products and services. In this role, you will be front and center, and hands-on, contributing your creative energy from the moment you arrive through the course of this experience. You will take part in meaningful work and real-time organizational projects that will help you grow both professionally and personally throughout the program.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements   

  • Current student pursuing a degree (undergraduate or graduate) in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and explain them in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and have familiarity with technical writing.
  • Self-motivated team player with excellent time management and organizational skills.


Pay is $20.00 / hour.
