Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technician

Shift: 9 am-5 pm

Location: Atlantic City, NJ

On-call or weekends required? Yes

Float yes float to endovascular OR suite, offsite location where IR cases are performed based on operational needs.

Call Back: yes weekdays and weekends to include holiday on-call assignments. Night call weekend 24 hours on call requirements

Duties

  • Assist proceduralist during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular, neuro-interventional cases with scrubbing side by side with specialty proceduralist
  • Strong knowledge of Floor and ceiling-mounted fluoroscopic modality machines
  • The ability to identify, retrieve, and Circulate complex products during interventional procedural cases
  • The ability to critically think during neuro-interventional cases and complex cases to assist proceduralist
  • The ability to operate power injection of iodinated contrast media device during diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Strong communication skills using closed-loop communication
  • The ability to maintain sterile technique and maintain infection prevention measures to set up procedural trays for caseload
  • Positively contribute to a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons
  • Knowledge of documentation in electronic medical records and sending images to Sectra/PACs system
  • Groin management post-intervention
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment

License Required:

  • Current licensure with the certification with ARRT NJ state
  • BLS from an approved AHS credentialed American Heart Association or a BLS accredited with skill demonstration in basic life support measures

Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic technologist or a Cardio-Vascular technologist with NJ radiographic licensure.
  • This role is similar to a cardiovascular technologist ( CVT) but MUST have radiographic licensure to operate x-ray fluoroscopic modalities.
