We are currently looking for Full-Time, Part-Time, PRN, 2nd Shift (2pm-10:30pm) 3rd Shift (10:00pm-6:30am), NCLEX eligible or Active RNs licensed in the State of Iowa who are caring, compassionate, professionals with a passion for taking care of the elderly to become a part of our team.
Responsibilities:- Evaluation of resident needs, conditions, and care, and assist in developing nursing care plans for individual residents, including rehabilitative and restorative activities and instruction in self-help
- Professional communication with family members regarding the condition and progress of the resident, including in-person discussion and answering of telephone inquiries
- Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility
- Maintain a productive working relationship with other department supervisors and coordinate Nursing services to ensure that daily Nursing services can be performed without interruption
- Make daily rounds to ensure that Nursing Services personnel that report to you are performing required duties and that Nursing Services policies and procedures are being followed.
- Provide leadership to nursing personnel assigned to your unit/shift
- Receive/give the nursing report to/from your Charge Nurse colleague upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours
- Request and arrange for diagnostic and therapeutic services for residents, as ordered by the physician and in accordance with our established procedures
- Create and maintain a positive work environment
- Implement and maintain established nursing objectives and standards
- Active unincumbered license of Practical Nursing in the state of Iowa
