POSITION:
As a CNC Programmer/Machinist, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality precision parts. You will use your technical expertise to ensure that all parts meet the required specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine programming requirements.
- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications.
- Write and edit CNC programs using Mastercam software
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools and fixtures
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of machines
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize production processes
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Train and mentor junior machinists as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Programmer/Machinist
- Strong understanding of machining techniques and processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience in a variety of CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and grinders
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to work 2nd shift and occasional overtime as needed
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining is preferred.
