Job Description:


Primus Aerospace, a leading manufacturing partner to aerospace, defense & space OEMs / Primes & Tier I suppliers, is currently seeking CNC Machinists to work at our Reisterstown, MD facility. The company specializes in producing high-tolerance, complex geometry parts; machined out of standard and exotic metals. Primus works directly with all major aerospace manufacturers (e.g., Boeing, Lockheed, Northrop) to provide components to mission critical civilian and defense programs.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Previous CNC Operator experience: mill turn and lathe
  • GD&T print reading
  • Knowledge of calipers, micrometers, metrology.
  • Can do machine set-ups.
  • Can indicate vices.
  • Coordinate x, y, z
  • Knowledge of machining principles
  • Operate CNC machines from provided work instructions from work order or set up personnel
  • Verifying dimensional characteristics of parts
  • Meet expected cycle times and production schedule
  • Completion of all required paperwork in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a CNC Machinist
  • Reading blueprints and using hand tools
  • Prioritizing tasks and maintaining production goals
  • Self-starter with a good attitude
  • Attention to detail and a strong desire to produce quality products
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing lean manufacturing techniques is preferred
  • Previous experience in Aerospace or defense machining environment preferred.
  • Ability to obtain secret security clearance highly desirable


Pay Range $21-24/hour
