Who You AreWe are looking for a Procurement Specialist skilled in direct and indirect categories to join our growing supply chain team. This role will be responsible for working cross-functionally to understand and address the needs of internal customers across the business. Duties include finding and evaluating potential partners and suppliers, leading or assisting in negotiation of key terms and conditions as well as pricing, placing Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders, and overall management of third party relationships across various categories of spend.
Responsibilities and Duties- Support various departments (Battery engineering, commercialization, research etc) in their small- to midsize-procurement of diverse products and services.
- Use Coupa platform to create free text Purchase Requests, punchout catalog purchases, purchases using virtual cards, manage Purchase Orders, status of invoices and payments, onboard new suppliers.
- Create Master Data records in the ERP, when needed, ahead of a purchase.
- Support and inform internal stakeholders in sourcing and supplier selection activities.
- Manage supplier onboarding process to ensure suppliers are correctly onboarded into Coupa.
- Ensure all purchases are made following the purchasing policies guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Negotiate pricing and other Terms and Conditions of purchases by collaborating with the stakeholders and legal team.
- Work on procurement process and tool improvement projects.
- 3-4 years of purchasing, procurement, or related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a focus on Supply Chain, or equivalent
- Knowledge and comprehension of end-to-end procurement processes and best practices. ERP or Procure to Pay experience preferred (Coupa, SAGE X3 or other).
- High organizational skills to effectively manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to influence cross-functional internal customers.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment to achieve business objectives.
- Action and detailed oriented
- Operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, copier/printer, etc in a fixed location
Work Schedule
Regular Shift: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm
Payscale Disclosure
The starting base pay for this role is between $98,000 and $123,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila's competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses.
