Velos is seeking part- or full-time government relations interns to join our team for the Fall semester. Interns provide support across clients to aid execution of influence campaigns furthering the client's government relations and business development objectives. Velos represents leaders in the Defense, Space & Intelligence, Homeland Security, and related industries.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct budget & legislative research
  • Attend and summarize congressional hearings & industry events
  • Monitor & curate industry news for weekly e-newsletter
  • Support development of issue papers, talking points, presentations, quantitative analyses, and other client materials
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Upperclassman or Graduate student
  • Interest or experience in defense or national security space
  • Interest or experience in federal appropriations & legislative process
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
