Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:

Position Summary: Under the direction of the Child Watch Supervisor, the Child Watch Attendant is responsible for ensuring the care, safety, and wellbeing of all children in the group. The Child Watch Attendant will work with other site staff to foster children’s social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth.

Monday – Friday: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

Monday – Thursday: 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm


Responsibilities:

  • Interact with children of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Engage in active listening with the children under their care.
  • Handle complaints in a competent manner.
  • Handle accidents and emergencies in a comfortable and confident manner in accordance with the policies and procedures.
  • Build relationships and interact with members.
  • Plan and manage a wide variety of activities focused on physical and mental development.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with children in a childcare or similar setting, 1 year of childcare experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle emergencies and stressful situations calmly and confidently.
  • PR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
