We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Jeffersonville, IN, 47130. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of various industrial automation equipment in a manufacturing environment. Your expertise in troubleshooting and repairing machinery, including conveyor systems, forklifts, gantry robots, and injection molding machines, will be crucial in minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on conveyor systems, forklifts, gantry robots, industrial robots, injection molding machines, overhead cranes, palletizers, and other industrial automation equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, utilizing your expertise in electrical troubleshooting skills, mechanical troubleshooting skills, and hydraulics experience
  • Conduct machine safety inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and identify potential hazards
  • Collaborate with production teams to address equipment malfunctions and minimize downtime
  • Utilize your knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC), servo motors, and variable frequency drives (VFD) to diagnose and resolve equipment failures
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks
  • Responsible for repair and maintenance of all plant equipment, buildings and grounds.
  • Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
  • Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Ability to understand how robot programing works and able to make needed adjustments.
  • Develop and manufacture poke-yoke alarm systems.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in troubleshooting and maintaining industrial automation equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in working with machine brands such as Universal Robotics, Milacron, Toshiba, Niigata, Nissei, Sumitomo, Haitian, Toyo, Allen Bradley, B&R Industrial Automation, and Siemens
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with hydraulics and knowledge of hydraulic systems
  • Ability to perform machine safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Availability to work on the 3rd shift
