Overview

The Expeditor is responsible for the coordinating and distribution of daily workflow by applying established processes. Effectively deploys resources to achieve company goals in a timely manner.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and participate in daily operations and activities.
  • Prioritizes task list for the shop.
  • Responsible for getting expedited shipments completed to meet due dates.
  • Elevating any reworked issues or inspection related problems.
  • Identify and overcome obstacles to achieve daily objectives.
  • Addresses any problems that arise regarding missed deadlines.
  • May be expected to develop process improvements, including recommendations for system, policy and procedure enhancements.
  • Interact with other business units throughout the company to achieve goals.
  • Learn and understand the flow of production to keep jobs moving effectively, ensuring that all product is moved to the next task in a timely manner.

Education

  • High School diploma or GED.

Required Skills

  • Personable, well organized, detail-oriented and thorough.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function well within a team and yet be self-motivated required.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Fast and accurate computer related skills.
  • Experience in metal manufacturing is a plus.
  • Proven dependability and strong work ethic.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
