The Position

We are seeking an entry-level Systems Administrator who will assist in the day-to-day management of our third-party case management software.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinating with legal and administrative departments to understand their processes and tasks
  • Deigning systems within our case management software to assist with and streamline those processes and tasks.
  • Writing SQL queries on a complex database for the purposes of guiding the systems within our case management system.
  • Addressing software issues and bringing them to resolution through proper channels
  • Creating and management of document templates, with mark-up for case-specific generation for court filings or general use.
  • Compiling reports, simple or complex, as required by the diverse needs of the various departments.
  • Auditing our case management software for data errors (duplicate entries, error-causing characters, missing data, etc.) and logic errors (processes being misdirected).
  • Assisting with basic computer troubleshooting.
  • Mastering how to manage our case management software.

Qualifications

  • At a minimum, the candidate should have a certification in data management/science where they were trained to use SQL.
  • Willing to train the right candidate.
  • Knowledge of MySQL and rudimentary database administration.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Knowledge of VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables at a minimum.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Familiarity with Windows 7 and 10.
  • Excellent oral and written communication. Ability to translate computer-talk into layman's understanding.
  • Must love working with data.
  • Creative problem solver.
  • Programming experience in python considered an asset. If so, you can assist in other projects.
  • Experience with Excel PowerQuery very much preferred.
  • Professional and courteous communication with our colleague, who are the users of the systems we design.
  • Creative problem-solving for novel scenarios.
  • Learning and understanding our business and law processes.
  • Detail oriented, thorough.
