Job DescriptionJob DescriptionNassau Candy is a premier importer, manufacturer, and distributor of specialty confections, fine foods, and promotional products.
We are currently looking for a Replenishment Specialist to ensure an optimal supply of inventory of specialty food products to meet customer demand
You will use your skills and experience to:
- Perform replenishment buying for perishable products.
- Run inventory usage reports and determine replenishment needs.
- Analyze inventory levels versus current order activity, trends, and market demand.
- Develop promotional and sales strategies with Gourmet Foods Buyer.
- Obtain all key information provided by vendors for each item purchased, including UPC codes, weights, pallet configurations, pack sizes, prices, deals, lead times, shipping methods, product handling requirements, promotions, and terms.
- Liaise with Sales on products, promotions, and special offerings.
- Perform other duties and participate in other projects as required by the department.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in purchasing in the manufacturing or distribution industry.
- Knowledge of gourmet and specialty food products preferred.
- Knowledge of Inventory Control procedures
- Highly detail oriented, strong written and verbal communication skills and Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task in a dynamic and busy work environment.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
- Working knowledge of ERP systems
