Medical Scribe

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our dynamic plastic surgery practice. The ideal candidate will assist in documenting patient encounters and ensuring the accuracy of medical records. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with healthcare professionals and gain valuable experience in the medical field.

Key Responsibilities:

- Accurately transcribe the details of patient visits and procedures as dictated by the plastic surgeon.

- Enter medical information into electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring that all data is current and precise.

- Manage patient flow by communicating with medical staff and coordinating schedules.

- Assist in the preparation of medical documents, such as consent forms and procedure notes.

- Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation processes.

Qualifications:

- Excellent listening and typing skills with a keen attention to detail.

- Prior experience in a medical scribing or similar role is preferred.

- Familiarity with medical terminology, especially related to plastic surgery.

- Proficiency in using EHR systems and other medical software.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

- Commitment to delivering high-quality support to healthcare professionals and patients.

Education:

- High school diploma or equivalent is required.

- Pre-medical or health sciences background is advantageous.

Work Hours & Benefits:

- This part-time position requires a flexible schedule, with emphasis on being present on every Thursday from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
