Welder/Pipefitter

Welder/Pipefitter Job Description

1. Prepare objects for welding by preheating, cleaning and filing, positioning, aligning and clamping or wiring loose parts.
2. Evaluate, design, repair and/or fabricate machine work as required.
3. Perform electric arc and acetylene welding on equipment, including pipe, tanks, machine parts, metal structures. 4. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches and job specifications.
5. Maintain, clean and perform minor repairs on welding equipment.
6. Order required welding materials such as rods, gas and metals.
7. Perform prime coat painting as necessary.
8. Inspection, record keeping and repair/rebuilding of circulators, booster pumps and utility pipes. 9. Perform other related duties as required.Requirements:

• A.W.S
• OSHA 30 (Additional 10 hours of SST or OSHA 40 by March 1st, 20201)
• Two years experience as welder/machinist at journey level.
• Must be able to wear/use all personal protective equipment required to perform job safely.
