Salesman at Larson Cable Trailers

Larson Cable Trailers is expanding its team and seeking a dynamic and motivated Salesman to join us during an exciting phase of growth. In addition to our renowned Larson cable trailer line, we are launching a new trailer line, and you will play a pivotal role in introducing these products to the market. As a Salesman, you will not only engage in sales, customer service, and product knowledge but will also be instrumental in setting up dealerships for our new line in the local 5-state area.

This position offers the opportunity to learn and work closely with the originator of Larson Cable Trailers, gaining invaluable insights into product development and innovation.

Compensation:

This is a salary position with a unique compensation structure designed to reward performance. The starting package includes a high base salary and a lower commission rate. (at least one year). As you gain experience and expertise, the compensation structure will transition to a lower base salary with a higher commission rate. Additionally, there will be a team commission paid on sold units, further incentivizing collaboration and teamwork.

Schedule:

8-10- hour shifts

Day shift 5days/week

Ability to commute/relocate:

Huron, SD reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Education:

High School Diploma/equivalent

Responsibilities:

Conduct product demonstrations and sales presentations for both our established cable trailers and our new trailer line.

Work from the home office in Huron, SD, while also traveling extensively for on-site demos, sales visits, and dealership setup.

Understand and address customer needs by recommending the right products.

Stay updated on our product offerings, industry trends, and changes within the market.

Provide exceptional customer service, promptly addressing inquiries and concerns.

Actively seek out new customers and opportunities to expand our client base.

Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless customer experiences and set up dealerships in the local 5-state area.

Cultivate strong, trusting relationships with customers and dealers to foster repeat business and long-term partnerships.

Schedule and coordinate travel for sales demonstrations and dealership setup.

Fully understand the features and functions of all our products to effectively demonstrate and educate customers and dealers.

Requirements:

Proven work experience as a sales associate.

Basic understanding of sales and customer service principles.

Availability to be completely flexible regarding hours: on the road 80%, in-office 20%.

Solid communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work as part of a team.

Proficiency in reading and writing effectively.

Ability to maintain a professional appearance.

Willingness to travel extensively for sales demonstrations and dealership setup.

Willingness to learn and fully understand all details about our products.
