Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Mass Timber InstallerShift: 8am-5pmLocation: Douglasville, GAPay rate: $32/HR**IF YOU ARE LOCATED FAR FROM LOCATION, WE ARE WILLING TO PAY FOR TRAVEL TIME AND/OR ACCOMODATIONS**Position Overview:As a Mass Timber Installer, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and installation of building structures. Your expertise will help ensure that our projects are completed with the highest standards of quality and safety. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to achieve seamless and efficient installation.Key Responsibilities:
  • Install Mass Timber Components: Erect, align, and secure mass timber components according to project specifications and engineering plans.
  • Interpret Technical Drawings: Read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and other project documents to accurately install components.
  • Ensure Quality and Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards to ensure the integrity and safety of the installation process.
  • Collaborate with Team: Work closely with construction teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to address any issues and ensure project timelines are met.
  • Maintain Equipment: Operate and maintain tools and equipment used in the installation process.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues that may arise during the installation process, ensuring minimal disruption to the project.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Proven experience in mass timber installation or similar construction trades is preferred. Experience with other types of heavy timber or modular construction is also beneficial.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of construction techniques and materials, with a focus on mass timber. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
  • Safety Certification: Relevant safety certifications and training (e.g., OSHA, fall protection) are required.
  • Team Player: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others on-site.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure high-quality installation and adherence to specifications.
