Massage Therapist

Hilton Marco Island Resort and Spa is seeking a dynamic Massage Therapist to join the best Spa team on Marco Island

Position Purpose:

Massage Therapist administers professional massage and body treatments to our guests as well as recommends proper at-home care complimentary to the treatment. They must have thorough knowledge of numerous massage modalities, posses a general understanding of body treatments, and be willing to train in our Spa’s specific massage and body treatment offerings. They must possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness solutions to meet the needs of our guests. They must hold and maintain a current state license.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Administer massage and body treatments to our guests in a professional, courteous, and appropriate manner. Effectively inform and educate our guests about specific wellness concerns including contraindications and conduct proper and safe consultations. Must also recommend appropriate at-home care. Provide flexible schedule to support needs of the Spa business.

Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist in cost controls. Have complete knowledge of the body, muscle systems, Spa services and products offered. Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the Spa’s policies. Perform prep work, properly clean and restock room as required. Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the Spa that require attention.

Actively promote the Spa, treatments, services and retail, as well as, programs, promotions and / or discounts available. This includes offering service upgrade options to every guest. Must uphold all protocols and Mystery Shop Standards. Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously. Empowerment to handle guest issues right then and there. Only engage in appropriate conversations with guests. Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests. Possess the ability to work without direct supervision.

Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the Spa. Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education:

• Minimum of a high school diploma
• Massage School

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years Professional Massage - practical and clinical experience.

Licenses or certificates:

• State License for Professional Massage Therapy
