Position Objective:
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Superintendent to oversee on-site coordination of all trades and employees for the construction project during the night shift. This role requires ensuring that all project activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily activities for a single project, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to schedules.
  • Implement and manage jobsite safety programs, ensure housekeeping standards are met, and report any accidents to the Safety Team promptly.
  • Schedule and coordinate subcontractors and material deliveries to ensure timely completion of project tasks.
  • Communicate labor and material needs to the Senior Superintendent and Project Manager and maintain accurate daily time records and cost centers for each employee.
  • Code materials to the correct cost centers and manage project costs through weekly reviews.
  • Create and maintain daily job reports, review shop drawings for contract conformance, and maintain jobsite "record set" drawings and progress photographs.
  • Obtain and track necessary city inspections and manage temporary utility requests.
  • Attend all jobsite meetings and collaborate with the project team to ensure project goals are met.
  • Maintain high standards of quality control throughout the project and ensure all punch list items are completed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
  • Mentor and train Assistant Superintendents and Assistant Project Managers, guiding them in their job duties and ensuring active participation in training programs.
  • Oversee tool and equipment maintenance on the jobsite.
  • Manage the turnover process, including key handover and obtaining written receipts from the owner.
  • Assist the project team as required and perform any additional duties to support the successful completion of the project.

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and coordinate multiple trades on-site.
  • Experience in safety management and quality control in a construction setting.
  • Proficiency in reading and reviewing shop drawings and project plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on client relations.
  • Ability to mentor and train junior staff members effectively.
